Cash. That's what it boils down to for Oksana Grigorieva in her ongoing crusade against Mel Gibson, which is ostensibly about custody of their daughter, Lucia.
The real fight between Oksana and Mel most likely stems from a legal document created before Lucia was even born one year ago, according to a TMZ report.
The Icon Trust, created by Mel and wife Robyn Gibson to provide for their seven children, defines the children as ones born from Mel Gibson or Robyn Gibson.

When the trust was drafted, no one thought Mel or Robyn, married for nearly three decades, would have a child outside the marriage. Enter Oksana Grigorieva.
Sources connected with Mel and Robyn say everyone wants Lucia to be taken care of, but adding her as a beneficiary in Mel's trust creates complex tax issues.
For whatever reason, Mel didn't want that to happen. So when he and Oksana broke up and struck a settlement deal in May, this was one of the key points.
In addition to her handing over the Mel Gibson rants, the very first term of the deal says "Oksana consents to amendment of Icon Trust to exclude Lucia."
In return for excluding Lucia, Mel agreed to provide a financial package for the baby worth more between $8 million and $15 million, according to reports.
As we know, Oksana agreed to this deal but balked at the last minute, and has gone after Mel for all he's worth every since. Why turn her back on that?
TMZ says lawyers advising Oksana say Lucia got royally screwed by giving up an interest in the trust, which they said would be worth up to $50 million.
In other words, one-eighth of a $400 million trust.
Close Mel sources say the money in the trust is not even in the same universe of $400 million, but whatever's in it, Team Oksana felt it needed a piece.
If Oksana's lawyers persist and Mel settles out of court, the attorneys get a percentage of the settlement. So they've convinced Oksana to go for it.
Pretty messed up.

Capri Anderson Plans Lawsuit Against Charlie Sheen

For a change, Capri Anderson is set on not taking something lying down.
Sources tell TMZ that the call girl is planning to sue Charlie Sheen for his actions in a New York City Hotel room this week.

It's unclear what the specific charges will be, but Anderson has made it known she felt as if her life was in danger when Sheen flipped out and threw furniture all over the place. She locked herself in a bathroom and phoned hotel security as a result.
Law enforcement officials say they don't plan to take any action against the actor, but Capri is supposedly owed $12,000 and sees this as a chance to strike it rich. It makes sense for her, too.
As someone that makes a living without any clothes on, why not sue the pants off someone?

Alexandra Burke has revealed that she had a breast cancer scare earlier this year.
The X Factor 2008 winner feared for her health after finding a lump the size of a 50p piece.
'I got completely freaked out,' Alexandra, 22, tells the Daily Mirror.
'I was in the shower checking myself, and that's when I realised you need to go to a doctor and start going twice a year.'
Fortunately, tests found that the lump was just a benign cyst.
Since her scare, Alexandra has gone on a trek with Fearne Cotton and Denise Van Outen in Peru to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.
Their journey was filmed for ITV2 documentary Denise & Fearne's Charity Trek and will air on Monday 1 November at 9pm.

Now a show insider reveals that the 39-year-old is so certain this will be her last stint on the show that she's thinking of dramatically quitting live on air.
Though Dannii Tweets that this rumour is 'total %@*#', an insider says:
‘Dannii's been frozen out backstage. 'While she's getting on with Louis, any common ground she had with Simon and Cheryl has gone.
‘Although she'd love to win this year, she thinks her time's up on the show. In fact, she's been joking with the backstage crew about getting Victoria Beckham or Nicole Scherzinger to replace her.
‘She wants to make an announcement in the last few weeks of the show and has even said if she gets the chance she will reveal her resignation live on air.'
Dannii has no plans to walk away from her other commitments and is keen to focus on her Project D fashion range and furthering her TV career.
‘She's been approached by Loose Women but said she wasn't quite ready for that,' says Now's source.
‘But she's working on an idea with This Morning to showcase the latest fashions. That's perfect for her as it has a break over the summer, so she can go back and spend time with her family back in Australia.'

Lady Gaga and Snooki may not be mentioned in the same breath too often, but sightings of both are running rampant across the country this Halloween.
Gaga, known for her outrageous outfits, is the No. 1 most-requested celebrity Halloween costume in the U.S. this year, followed by the Jersey Shore cast.
Of the Shore cast, Snooki has been the dominant player, with bump-its and wig sales off the hook this year. Spray-tanner, too, we'd have to assume.

In order to make a compelling Snooki, orange body paint is pretty much necessary, as is not wearing underwear or being able to speak English well.
Just kidding. Mostly.

Tameka "Tiny" Cottle Charged With Drug Possession

The L.A. County District Attorney has charged T.I.'s wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, for possessing ecstasy when the couple was busted on Sunset Strip last month.
Interestingly, the D.A. dropped charges against T.I., but it was a moot point since the star's probation was revoked as a result. Tiny will be charged, however.
If convicted, Tameka could face up to a year behind bars, which is convenient, since T.I. himself will likely spend 11 months in jail beginning in January 2011.

Why Kendra Wilkinson Turned Down Playboy

Earlier this month, Kendra Wilkinson was offered another chance to pose for Playboy. She turned it down.
For what reason? Who the heck has this woman become? Ah, that's right: a wife and a mother.

Wilkinson actually hired a photographer to take some test shots of her, only for husband Hank Baskett to find out and, as Kendra told E! News:
"He didn't yell at me. He wasn't mad at me for doing that photo shoot. He sat down with me and he went over the reasons of doing it. And you know... I wanted to do Playboy for the wrong reasons. The wrong reasons are to prove people wrong, not to prove it to myself but to people and to put my middle finger up to everybody and be like, 'I'm going to do Playboy!' But that wasn't the right reason."
Moreover, there are signs of maturity that go beyond keeping her clothes on.
While reports state there are problems between Kendra and her professional football-playing husband, Wilkinson says everything is fine. She's living in Los Angeles while Hank suits up for the Minnesota Vikings.
"I feel sexy again," she also says. "At the end of the day I'm not some supermodel. I'm me. I'm Kendra, you know? I'm not trying to be someone I'm not."

Asked by Extra about the latest drunken escapade of her husband, Mueller said: "Charlie is a Survivor. He knows how to handle himself."
If Brooke means Sheen has literally survived through today, we cannot argue with that point.

It was titled the Rally to Restore Sanity, but it might as well have been called The Rally to Gather Together an Incredible Number of People and Bash the Heck Out of Cable News.
Indeed, in Washington D.C. on Saturday, Jon Stewart hosted an event that featured 250,000 attendees; performances by The Roots, Kid Rock and John Legend; remained entirely apolitical; and skewered the media for creating an environment of anger and intolerance.

While most of the Stewart's roll in the rally was filled with satire and clips of how the media caters to raising the fear levels of society's most ignorant, The Daily News host concluded the festivities with a heartfelt speech that included:

"What exactly was this? This was not a rally to ridicule people of faith. Or people of activism or to look down our noses at the heartland or passionate argument or to suggest that times are not difficult and that we have nothing to fear. They are and we do. But we live now in hard times, not end times. And we can have animus and not be enemies.

"I feel strangely, calmly good, because the image of Americans that is reflected back to us by our political and media process is false. Sanity will always be in the eye of the beholder. To see you here today and the kind of people that you are, has restored mine."
