Teen Mom star Amber Portwood is becoming unglued and out of control due to the stress of her situation, but rest assured, Gary Shirley is in her corner.
Despite getting his ass kicked by the reality star and mother of his child on a fairly routine basis, Gary stands by Amber, who he calls a "great mother."
Looks like he takes their "renewed commitment" and "promise rings" seriously.

A police investigation of Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley was launched after MTV aired a recent episode showing an enraged Portwood hitting him.
Despite having to watch Amber dating another man (a criminal no less) on national TV, Shirley has only nice things to say about her at this stage.
"He really respects her as a mother," a source said of Shirley, whose on-off love affair with Amber Portwood has created drama on and off camera.
Not that it's going to get easier.
Both the Anderson, Ind., Police Department and The Department of Child Protective Services are looking into the recent attacks, and Amber's stressed!
"She was bawling her eyes out the other day and crying, crying, crying. It's a horrible mess and would be for any parents," a source told Radar Online.
Amber is focusing on the couple's daughter Leah, who she takes to the park across the street, reads to her at night, and teaches to count. Standard.
"She hasn't put a hand on Gary since," the source adds, noting that it's been weeks! "Amber is a totally different person [than what is seen on the show]."
