Kellan Lutz Loves the Twihards!

Seriously, folks, Kellan Lutz loves you. And you. And you. And, yes, you over there.
Asked by YRB magazine about the contingent of supporters known as Twihards, the hunky actor replied:
“I love the fans - the more the merrier, the crazier the better. I really embrace it; I’m a people person, I’m very much an extrovert... it’s all out of love... I get to see new personalities. It’s great.”
Fans adore Kellan, too. Why? These photos help explain:

On acting versus modeling: “Acting has given me a name so it’s nice to go back into the world of print, which is still photography, which is selling a product frame by frame. It’s really bizarre that - and I’ve encountered this on a couple of different occasions - the world presumes that models are stupid.
The world presumes that models are just pretty people. The truth is, modeling is also a career. Modeling is also a tough job, everything that goes into it, just like acting. It’s not all stars and confetti; it’s not all glamorous.”
Lutz willsoon return to the big screen, though. They co-star in A Warrior's Heart, the official poster for which was released this week;

Capri Anderson Accuses Charlie Sheen of Purse Destruction

According to Capri Anderson, Charlie Sheen owes her $12,000. And, as of a new report, one Prada purse.
Sources tell TMZ that Sheen destroyed the expensive accessory of his date during his cocaine-based ransacking of a room in the Plaza last week. He was trying to find a watch he believed Anderson may have stolen.
Stripping StarThe Sheen
The bag was "ripped to shreds," insiders say, adding that Capri had just purchased it for $1,600. Wow. Guess starring roles in Amateur Angels 22 and Do Me Wet really do pay off.
Police report that Anderson didn't say a word about a damaged purse when they spoke to her after the incident. As for Sheen's manager, Mark Burg, he got a solid dig in with his take on the allegation:
"Maybe she can get a Prada sponsorship out of this."

Father of Demi Lovato Makes Like Michael Lohan, Won't Shut Up

Move over, Michael Lohan. You've got competition for the award of Most Exploitive, Attention-Seeking, Self-Centered Father of a Troubled Young Star in Hollywood.
Days after daughter Demi Lovato sought treatment for personal issues and details of her confrontation with a dancer went public, father Patrick spoke to Radar Online and blamed "pressures" for the mess his daughter finds herself in.
Close-Up of Demi
Disney reps and those close to the singer didn't appreciate public comments from a man who hasn't seen his child in three years, but Patrick went back on the record today, sounding like an even bigger moron and saying:
"This is the United States of America, I can talk anytime I want to."
Damn right you can, Patrick! Your legal rights are far more pressing here than the privacy of your daughter!
Patrick is quick to say that he doesn't blame Disney for the downfall of Demi, even giving the company props for providing her with bodyguards. But he adds:
"It's just the industry itself.... it's the whole industry... the pressures and the time element that you have to put forward. It's those types of things that go along with what you chose and you can't blame Disney for that."
True. But you can maybe blame a father who seemingly cares more about making headlines than doing what's best for his family.

Eddie Cibrian: Happily Engaged to LeAnn Rimes, But "Pissed" Story Leaked

As we reported earlier, Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes are engaged. But as happy as the two are with each other, they're not happy that we know it yet!
Rimes and Cibrian are "pissed" that the engagement news broke, E! News reports, since they planned to cash in by selling the exclusive story. OOPS!
Eddie in particular is far from pleased, as exclusive pics and the requisite "over the moon" pullout quotes would have netted some nice bank. Oh well!

Eddie and LeAnn are engaged (and upset they couldn't milk it).
Interestingly, Rimes happened to pull a no-show at an event last night.
The bride-to-be was expected to attend a party celebrating her October Shape cover (which hit stands in early September, oddly enough), and curiously, ended up a no-show. Reps for the magazine said Rimes' absence was due to sickness.
For her part, Rimes has been tweeting furiously for the past two days (including well into last night), and made numerous mentions of battling the flu.
Here's hoping she gets well soon ... and gets over the whole missed celebrity gossip opportunity. There's always the wedding photos, CibriAnn.

Kris Humphries Dines with Kim Kardashian

Kris Humphries is an NBA journeyman who has played for four teams in his career.
Kim Kardashian is a dating journeywoman who has gone to bed with... more than four men in her romantic career.
Together, this pair comprised a table at the famous New York City eatery NOBU last night. No other details are available at the moment, but Humphries' first name, combined with his profession, make him a viable companion for Kim. Still, there's something about him that seems different than other boyfriends she's gone for.
We can't quite put our finger on it. Can you?

Keith Olbermann: Suspended by MSNBC

Aiming to tone down the rancor in his commentary, Keith Olbermann suspended his Worst Persons in the World segment earlier this week.
Now, MSNBC has done the same to the face of its network. But for a different reason.
Countdown Screen Shot
According to a report in Politico, the Countdown host donated the maximum legal contribution ($2,400) to Arizona congressman Raul Grijalva, Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, and Kentucky attorney general Jack Conway during this election cycle.
As a result, MSNBC President Phil Griffin said, “I became aware of Keith’s political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay."
And for good reason, too. With this information public, viewers might think Olbermann was biased toward liberals in his commentary!

Melissa Etheridge Shoots Down Tammy Lynn Michaels Poverty Claims

Through the use of poems, Tammy Lynn Michaels has spent the last few weeks going off on Melissa Etheridge. She claims the singer left her and the couple's children in poverty, scarcely able to afford food on a daily basis.
Asked if this allegation was true, Etheridge simply tells the latest issue of Us Weekly: "No, it's not."
Very Ugly Split
Could she elaborate?
"A woman is always entitled to speak her mind, and that's the way she speaks her mind," the artist said of her ex's strange blog posts. "It's always one person's perspective, and one person's perspective through hurt and fear, and anger. You're going to get a pretty dark picture. We're working things out, how about that?"
That's fine by us, Melissa. It's really none of our business.
But are you dating anyone new? Have you moved on?
"Suffice it to say, I am a very happy woman. Yes."

Lil Wayne Ready to Make it RAIN

Having spent most of 2010 behind bars, the just-released Lil Wayne is ready to kick back, let loose, throw wads of money in the air and pour champagne all over the badonkadonk of South Florida's finest exotic dancers. HOLLA!
Weezy has 48 bottles of really expensive champagne (think $700 each) when he arrives for his prison release party at a Miami strip club this weekend.
50 Cent would be proud.
Good Lil Wayne
Innocent, law-abiding Weezy's gonna have some night tonight.
The locale? King of Diamonds, a 50,000-square foot strip club equipped with a shoe shine station, basketball court, "fine dining" and massage parlor.
You know what that last part means. It means somebody's night is ending on a happy note, and Weezy's probably getting a phone call in nine months.
Lil Wayne and his posse have been buying champagne like it's going out of style, and fans eager to buy a bottle can meet him personally at the bash.
Drake and Nicki Minaj, among other stars, will be helping LW celebrate his release back into society, which will likely end in several parole violations.
Should be a kick ass time, though. You only live once.

Taylor Swift: I Adore Justin Bieber!

Justin Bieber might be dating Selena Gomez.
But if things don't work out between those two, an even more successful artist has made it clear: she has Bieber Fever.
“I adore [Justin Bieber]," Taylor Swift says in the latest issue of Allure. He’s sweet and awesome... I’ll join his fan club.”

Of course, Bieber might wanna be careful because Taylor admits in the same interview that she often puts a quick end to dating arrangements:
“I have a phobia about being in the wrong relationship, so as soon as I establish it’s not the right one, I don’t want to waste their time.”

Happy Birthday, Lamar Odom!

Not too long ago, we'd have wondered why we'd be wishing Lamar Odom a happy birthday on a celebrity gossip site.
But then the Lakers power forward married Khloe Kardashian, and has actually remained married to her for over a year. He appears almost as often on E! as on ESPN, causing us to admit we were mistaken about this union and to acknowledge the fact that he's turning 31.
Life is good for Odom, as his reigning NBA champions stand at 6-0, a record he contributes to with 15 points and 11 rebounds per game. He seems like a nice enough guy, too, so send in your birthday wishes to him today!

LeAnn Rimes Calls 150% BS on Engagement Story

Sources say Eddie Cibrian is pissed that news of his engagement to LeAnn Rimes has spread. The reason? He and his annoying fiancee wanted to cash in by making this announcement via a tabloid exclusive.
But Rimes is taking the couple's anger a step further, claiming she and Cibrian are NOT betrothed and taking major issue with E! News, who first reported the story.
"I've about had it with the lack of "reporting," she Tweeted yesterday. "The fact that our "engagement" has spread so furiously over the past 24 hours off of an E News article that is 150% untrue just shows you the lack of credible "sources" they seem to find and build a story around."
LeAnn
E! News, meanwhile, says it spoke with a family insider who confirmed the engagement and also phoned LeAnn's publicist, who did not deny the claim.
Rimes goes on to make it sound like an engagement is imminent, but as multiple outlets report, clearly wants to make the announcement herself and find a new way to rake in money since her music career fell flat on its face years ago.
"Eddie and I are beyond happy and in love and look forward to one day sharing such private news with you all and hopefully will be able to enjoy it privately and share it with our family and friend's [sic] before the world knows (contrary to reports on our intentions)."
The hilarious questions now remain: How long will Rimes and Cibrian withhold this news, and to what tabloid will they sell it out?

Liberals and Conservatives Unite Around Keith Olbermann, Ask MSNBC: Seriously?!?

Who would have ever thought that Keith Olbermann would be the man to bring liberals and conservatives together?!?
But in the hours following MSNBC President Phil Griffin's bizarre decision to suspend Olbermann for donating money to democratic candidates, anchors and pundits from across the political spectrum have expressed outrage over the action.
Angry Olbermann
Take it away, William Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard one of the most conservative commentators on the planet:
"[It's] ludicrous. First, he donated money to candidates he liked. He didn’t take money, or favors, in a way that influenced his reporting. Second, he’s not a reporter. It’s an opinion show. If Olbermann wants to put his money where his mouth is, more power to him."
It's worth noting that the policy at MSNBC does not ban employees from making donations. It only requires they ask permission first, which Olbermann failed to do.
Rachel Maddow acknowledges that distinction, along with her colleague's mistake in ignoring it, but urged her network to re-install Olbermann as the host of Countdown last night. She also used the incident to illustrate a major difference between MSNBC and Fox News:
The former suspended its most well-known personality for contributing to a campaign; the latter uses its programs to openly raise money for Republicans, while its hosts have all given money across the board to conservative candidates. The former is an admittedly biased news service; the latter is a political operation.
