‘Kara's smitten with Artem but she thinks she's more into him than he is to her,' a show insider tells Now.
‘She's worried that once the show's over and the limelight on them fades, he may lose interest.'
Sadly, it looks as though the 27-year-old ex-EastEnders star's fears may carry some weight.
Artem met Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba when he was a contestant on So You Think You Can Dance and they were close from 2006 to 2009.
'When they started dating, that brought him into the headlines, which is exactly what he wanted,' says an insider.
His profile soared as he accompanied her to many red carpet events, including the Koi restaurant party and the Fox Reality Awards.
Kara's mates are worried that Artem's using her to raise his profile in the UK.
‘Let's face it, she hasn't been all that lucky in love,' says a pal. 'When her relationship with Joe Swash ended in May, she swore off men for a long time.'
