The same network that gives a platform to pathetic, demanding parents of children that will one day require years of therapy has announced that Ted Haggard: Scandalous will air on January 16.
The one-hour special will focus on the former head of the National Association of Evangelicals, who was caught having an affair with a male prostitute and has also admitted to crystal meth use.
Haggard is opening a new ministry in Colorado Springs and says of the series:
"My family and I endured the darkest hours imaginable in the public spotlight, and have spent the last four years fighting and struggling to rebuild our lives, our faith and our family. Showing the world the new chapter of our lives will hopefully inspire others to find their own path to overcome their struggles and embrace the power of acceptance. The church is open to all, even those who have committed the darkest sins.”
If ratings are strong for this special, rest assured it will become a regular program. But should it? Does Haggard deserve his own show?
